1963 Buick Riviera – Video Walkaround

America’s bid for a great new International classic car was how the brochure described the 1963 Buick Riviera. This 401 cubic inch (6.6L) V8 beauty is painted in Willow Mist and has a Turbine Drive automatic transmission as standard.

In fact, power steering and power brakes were also standard on Rivieras. It was known as GM’s full-size personal luxury coupe. Power windows and a powered driver’s seat were available options which this car is fitted with. This is a car that looks classy is luxurious while retaining a sporty look.

New for 1963, the Riviera certainly made a visual impact and America hadn’t seen anything quite like this in a Sport Coupe.

There were 40,000 Rivieras produced for the 1963 model year with a base price of $4,333.
