1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

This 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible in Persian Lime Firemist is certainly eye-catching. It sits well with the white leather interior and captures the seventies perfectly.

Eldorado was part of the Fleetwood range. While the other Cadillacs still had their eggcrate grille, the Eldorados went for a finer look with a finer, cross-hatch mesh grille. The rear bumper was resigned too to meet the new Federal regulations stating that they should be able to withstand a 5 mph impact.

Power comes from a 500 cubic inch V8 engine – that’s 8.2 liters folks! As you’d expect from Cadillac it has an automatic transmission (Turbo Hydra-Matic).

AND, there is just about power everything. Windows, steering, brakes, antenna, door locks, seat – all are powered. Other luxuries include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio with 8 track player, tilt steering wheel, cruise control and dual outside mirrors.

This was America’s only luxury convertible being built in 1974 – it certainly was luxurious!
