This Wimbledon White 1964 Ford Country Sedan 6-passenger, 4-door Station Wagon was born in the Los Angeles assembly plant and then spent most of it’s life in that area.
The VIN tells us this was originally a 390 cubic inch V8 with 4-barrel carburetor (Z-code) although is now fitted with a slightly modified 428 cubic inch V8.
As always, it is great to see a well preserved station wagon as so many have served a hard life and are no longer with us.

The Country Sedan was the base trim level station wagons in ’64 on a par with the Galaxie 500, although you can see they still looked great. The upper level was the Country Squire which paralleled the Galaxie 500XL models.

Under the hood sits the slightly later and more powerful 428 cubic inch V8 which is paired with a C6 automatic transmission.
